Or perhaps they’re merely windmills, who’s to say?
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds just released its mobile version outside of China. And it’s safe to say it’s been a success. So much so, that some are reporting easy kills, and some even winning their first solo Chicken Dinner. Which has them wondering if those are real people, or bots?
According to The Verge, there are, presumably, bots in the game. The point, naturally, being a way of easing newer players into the game. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds isn’t the most forgiving experience, since much like in The Highlander, there can be only one.
Well, unless you’re playing duo or squad, but that’s neither here nor there. Frequently, you’ll die in these sorts of deals without ever having fired a weapon. So having a bunch of dumb, easy to kill bots hanging around mitigates some of the rage-quitting and subsequent uninstalling for first time players.
That said, there’s no actual confirmation these are bots. Even if it is likely; it’s hard to believe there are that many people who are that bad at the game running around not getting mad when they’re inevitably killed. Either way, enjoy it while you can; those easy kills go away after a while, and you start getting matched with better (real) opponents.
