Disney+ isn’t even live yet but we already our first show cancelation. It’s probably not the best look in the world for a new streaming service to lose shows before it even launches, but it’s the Muppets, a series those should be allowed to die.
Look, I love me some Muppets as much as the next person, but the property has been dead since Jim Hensen, well, passed on from this mortal coil. It’s a series that without the love and care of its creator has just been a pale imitation of better days.

Muppets Live Another Day will not be coming to Disney+ “over discrepancy between the writing team’s creative vision and that of the top brass at Disney-owned Muppet Studio.”
Muppets Now is still happening on the platform and is billed as an unscripted short-form series for those needing their Muppet fix. Fingers crossed we don’t lose those coveted Lizzie McGuire and High School Musical: The Musical
