Jetpack Joyride.
As far as the lighter side of the news, there hasn’t been much in the past few months, when you get down to it. And we’ve been a little light on people doing insane, Floridaman-grade shit. So imagine everyone’s surprise when two separate flight crews flying out of LAX report seeing a man with a jetpack in their flight path.
The pilots of not just one, but two flights reported seeing a man in a jetpack within their path. Naturally, this would be dangerous, and not just for the person in the jetpack. A collision would’ve almost certainly killed the jetpack’s pilot, but could easily cause serious damage to the plane and potentially the plane’s passengers.
I mean, there’s a reason that air traffic controllers are kind of known for having massive nervous breakdowns eventually.
As of right now, both the FAA and the FBI are on it, but as yet, nobody’s come forward to stat that they were the nutter that decided the middle of a commercial flight path was a great place for their jetpack test flight.
Who knows why, though? It may well remain a mystery…
