PC shoot’em up 1917 – The Alien Invasion gets the DX treatment

A new update for 1917 – The Alien Invasion drops today

Andrade Games, independent game developer from Heidelberg, Germany, announces a huge update for the shoot’em up 1917 – The Alien Invasion. The new name of the game is now 1917 – The Alien Invasion DX.

You are playing a weapon scientist, Dr. Brunhield Stahlmüller,  who upgraded a WW1 triplane with superior alien technologies to attack the invaders. You will avenge mankind and take the battle into the darkness of space until you reach an ancient alien world.

Look, I’m not SHMUP expert, but I do love the genre. I don’t know is this game is any good (they tell me PC only Shmups tend to be pretty sub-par), but the theme and time period have me quite interested. Also, the $5 price tag doesn’t hurt either!

FEATURES:

  • a bullet hell game
  • 3 new planes
  • 3 more levels for a total of 8 ones with an epic final battle
  • free update for those who own 1917 – The Alien Invasion
  • 1917 – The Alien Invasion DX is available on Steam for $4.99
