Overwatch Patch Update: Roadhog Nerfed Again

Do you like to play Roadhog in Overwatch? Do you like hooking people and blasting them in the face with a shotgun? Well, bad news.

The latest patch just dropped, and it mostly affects Roadhog and Reaper. Roadhog’s shots now deal 33% less damage. But don’t worry; he now has an extra shot per clip and fires 30% faster. Good luck hitting anything with the hook. I think I landed like 2 or 3 out of the 20-something throws I made last night. Not sure whether my aim is that bad, or what. Also, his noggin is 20% smaller (hitbox-wise), so suck it, Widowmaker.

Reaper’s passive was reworked. No longer do you pick up invisible orbs from a kill; he now regenerates 20% of the damage he deals. This will probably up his pick rate, since he’s no longer dependent on having the absolute upper hand for his sustainability.

McCree’s Deadeye got a slight buff; it now starts locking on faster, charging more damage in the first second.

Finally, a bunch of UI quality of life changes. The career profile screen got a bunch of updates; separating Hero and Barrier damage, allowing you see data from Competitive seasons or all seasons, all modes data, as well as a change to how averages are calculated. Moreover, Social now lets you see your friends most played Heroes.

All this aside from the inclusion of Horizon Lunar Colony proper. As well as the usual bugfixes. Also, Rate This Match is dead. They probably figured out that people rate a match poorly when they get dropped in with a bunch of bojos.

Overall, this Overwatch Update’s pretty good, unless you main Roadhog.

~Oh, and those HotS skins for D.Va and Genji are now in common lootboxes.~
