That’s right; 5,000,000 copies. They’re on a first come, first serve basis, so get in there while the getting’s good. The news comes ahead of the release of PAYDAY 2: Ultimate Edition. The Ultimate Edition bakes all of the previous DLC into the base game, which is pretty cool, and definitely simplifies things. No word on what that means for people who currently own the game, but I suppose we’ll soon find out.

PAYDAY 2 is a damn fun game, though it was significantly held back by its previous publisher. That said, the thing I’d be most interested in would be some alleviation of performance issues. The game’s fun and all, but it runs horribly on many computers, It’s been a while since I played the game however, so there may have been a patch in the meantime… or not.

Either way, don’t pass up this chance to get PAYDAY 2. You can probably work the performance kinks out yourself, anyway.
