Oh, what a surprise.
It seems that hackers have already found a way to hack and add games to the Nintendo Switch Online NES library. And it’s apparently easy enough to do that, aside from being a slight pain in the butt for the inexperienced, your average Joe could easily manage the process.

As a matter of fact, the method the app uses to emulate these games is pretty much the exact same one used by the SNES/NES Classic. Meaning that most of the work on hacking the whole thing has already been done.
As to whether it’s necessarily wise to do so at this time, well, do you want to be everyone’s Guinea Pig? It’s not hard to imagine that Nintendo takes a dim view of people hacking its consoles. There’s also the fact that the system is checking on this app at certain points; mostly down to the feature that you can only use the games for 7 days without an internet connection, but still. It might be better to wait the whole thing out before diving in, all I’m saying.
