In the fold.
Normally, Nintendo shows off games closer to release in a Nintendo Direct. But it seems one just couldn’t wait for the next showcase. So, seemingly at complete random, they dropped a super hype announcement video for Paper Mario: The Origami King.
And it seems to be, at least from the trailer, a return to form for the series. While it retains some of the improvements of latter games, it’s looking like The Origami King plays a lot more like the first two entries than Color Splash and Sticker Star.
The best part? You won’t be waiting long for it to come out. According to the trailer, Paper Mario: The Origami King is set to release July 17th this year.
Nintendo also released an announcement trailer for Urban Trial Tricky a few hours later. It’s, uh, kind of been overshadowed by Paper Mario. Which is a shame, as it looks like Excitebike meets extreme sports.
