Is it September yet?
For all the grief that I give Nintendo for a lot of decisions it makes when it comes to its marketing and such, they consistently have the games that I am most excited to get my hands on. While the team was E3 ready to see all the AAA that never really materialized, Nintendo rolled out Super Mario Maker and we where all hooked. As a long time Mario fan just being able to create in that world with a toolbox was enough of a selling point, but Nintendo keeps announcing new features for the game.
Such as:
- New sound effects and music block customization – You can create your own sound effects in Super Mario Maker, with some sounds even generating fun visuals! And by shaking a classic Note Block during level creation, it becomes a Music Block. When something activates one of these Music Blocks, it will play a note based on its height, allowing players to arrange songs of all types.
- Ease into creation – Start creating with a set number of tools to help you learn, then watch the number of tools at your disposal expand more and more every day you play!
- Compatible with more than 50 amiibo – Many amiibo are compatible with Super Mario Maker, including classic figures like Link, Wii Fit Trainer and Kirby. With the special 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo, you can take on mustachioed enemies in levels using Big Mario!
