Nintendo announces Metroid Prime 4

Metroid is the one classic series from Nintendo that the studio just doesn’t seem to know what to do with. And after the poor reception of the last game in the series things went dark for quite some time. But this year Nintendo surprised the world by announcing a new entry into the Prime series with Metroid Prime 4.

We don’t know much about the title as the video teaser was only a logo, but fans should be happy knowing the game goes back to the FPS style that the Prime series is known for.

Even for E3 this news is pretty bare-bones. And while fans should be excited that the series is coming back, it’s being developed internally by Nintendo and not by the team that originally created the series.

Fingers crossed this one turns out better than Other M. Then again, that shouldn’t be all that hard.
