Nintendo Announces Animal Crossing Collaboration with Lego

Animal Crossing

Great, now the Raymond people will be even more insufferable.

A new collaboration between Animal Crossing and Lego has been announced. Nintendo themselves put out a trailer featuring several villagers recreated in plastic, including Tom Nook and Isabelle.

Also, because this was the first I saw of it and thought it was funny:

The collaboration was previously leaked back in August. The leak claimed that there would be five sets, varying in price from $14.99 to $74.99. It also claimed that the collaboration would be in stores sometime in March 2024. None of this has been corroborated by Nintendo or Lego as of yet.

That said, it’s not really a surprise to see Lego collaborating with Animal Crossing. There have been several video game collaborations with the plastic brick brand in the past, including Overwatch and Sonic the Hedgehog. If anything, Animal Crossing may be a perfect fit, considering Lego’s architectural lines.

There’s no set date for when these Animal Crossing minifigs and sets will hit stores. That said, Nintendo rarely announces anything too far ahead of its release anymore. Regardless, Animal Crossing fans will simply have to wait for more information.

The amount of scalping that will go on with these might be legendary.
