It could be anything…
Right now, Epic Games Store has Mi’pu’mi games’ The Lion’s Song up as a freebie. The game’s a story-focused point-and-click game (and beautifully animated, at that). But understandably, it might not be everyone’s bag. Which is why the big old mystery box for next week’s free game has people’s attention.
Last year, around the same week (May 14th) Epic Games Store gave away Grand Theft Auto 5. This, coincidentally, left the whole of the store fundamentally crippled, because they clearly didn’t expect that many people on at one time rushing to grab the game.
While no one (publicly, at least) knows what free game is in store for us this time, hopefully the whole store doesn’t collapse under the weight of everyone rushing to get it this time.
