The new trailer for ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ looks stunning

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is one of the most important works in science fiction, and one that many people today have never heard about. This classic non-American comic work has influenced nearly every single science fiction work you could name.

Star Wars? Check! The Fifth Element? Check Independence Day and loads of others? Check and double-check. Not bad for a foreign comic that was so huge it ran for some 43 years.

The latest trailer is a visually stunning affair that calls back to the directors earlier work in The Fifth Element. This might very well end up being one of the most visually impressive films around, and we only hope the acting lives up to the visual power.
