We don’t know much about the upcoming Samurai Spirits (the name of the series in Japan), the next entry in the weapons based fighter from SNK, but we can gauge a few things from the teaser trailer that released today ahead of the Tokyo Game Show.
From the looks of the trailer his may very well be a remake of the original game down in 3D and featuring a visual style pretty similar to what Street Fighter has been doing with it’s ink brush sort of aesthetic. This would be the first core entry in the series since Samurai Shodown: Sen back in 2009.
Expect to hear more during the Tokyo game Show, but we are already excited as the fighting game renaissance continues! Man, it’s one heck of a good time to be a fighting game fan!
