The new Power Rangers join Legacy Ranger in ‘Power Rangers: Legacy Wars’

Mobile Game is the first to feature Power Rangers from the upcoming Lionsgate feature film as they fight alongside Legacy Rangers and villains

The more we see of the new Power Rangers film, the more excited we get. Trailers often only show the best parts, but if the movie can live up of half of what we’ve seen so far we at least will get a decent movie.

But like with any film we are getting the movie tie-in video game to go along with it. Thankfully, this generation has done away with the cheap console tie-in thanks to the high cost of making video games. But that also means those tie-ins have gone over to the cheap to develop for mobile side of things.

Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is one such project that is heading to iOS and Android devices. The game marks the first video game to feature Power Rangers from Lionsgate’s film releasing March 24, 2017. It looks like some sort of fighting game, but the trailer shows us very little about how the game works, and even less about the highly probably in-app bullshit that comes with these things.

What we do know is that the game features iconic, past and present Rangers and villains from the Power Rangers television franchise, one of the longest running kids action series in television history currently in its 24th season.

Power Rangers: Legacy Wars will be a game of many firsts for the expansive Power Rangers universe,” said Taehoon Kim, CEO, nWay. “In collaboration with Saban Brands and Lionsgate, and with our vast experience in matchmaking player vs player games over networks, we have created the first synchronous multiplayer fighting game allowing Power Rangers fans all over the world to battle against each other in real-time.”
