Don’t rev up those expectations, though.
Rumors have been circulating about an upcoming lower-cost Switch model. And according to Bloomberg’s sources, it may materialize sometime in late June. Presumably, sometime after E3, which happens in the middle of that month.
That said, it won’t be some sort of advanced model. The driving idea is for it to be lower-cost. That probably means it’ll be a bit more streamlined compared to the base model. Which, while not what enthusiasts woud want, might make a more appealing package for those that don’t currently own a Switch.
Nintendo hasn’t officially announced anything yet, though. It’s likely they’ll save this one for their Nintendo Direct around that time.
