Cuphead was and is a fantastic game, one that I personally saw evolve over the years at E3 and behind the scenes. What started as a small little boss rush shooter became this platforming masterpiece. One that was always brought up about the game, even in those very early days, was that it should totally become a television show.
Fast-forward to 2020 and Netflix is doing just that. Taking the iconic look and feel of the video game and crafting and animated adventure about that lovable scamp know as Cuphead.

The show will stand on its own and isn’t going to be tied to the story of the video game, instead, telling unique stories within its 1930s-inspired world. The show is being hand-drawn, at least partially, and being done by Netflix’s own in-house animation studio.
