Neil Patrick Harris, one of the most likable people on the planet, stopped by Entertainment Weekly‘s Sirius Radio station to talk with host Mario Correa about variety shows and freak shows, and naturally the latter subject led to them talking about American Horror Story‘s fourth season, titled Freak Show. Harris wants in, telling Correa that he wrote a letter to AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy saying he wanted to be on the show, even though he doesn’t technically have time due to his commitment to Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway.
But Murphy gon’ Murph, and he tweeted out the following response:
Harris concludes his Hedwig run on August 17 (Book of Mormon star Andrew Rannells will take over the role), and AHS premieres in October. That might not be enough time to get him in there, but Harris is one of the most in-demand entertainers around right now, and Murphy is the executive producer of AHS, so there’s still a decent chance that this could happen.
Thanks to Vulture for the heads up.
