Mystery Science Theater 3000 is my favorite television show of all time. So much so that I still put on an episode or two a week just to be at home with the bots. I even am in the process of building my very own Tom Servo from scratch.
MST3k is looking to make its return with original host and showrunner, Joel Hodgson at the helm, and the team is looking to Kickstarter to bring the project back to life. The campaign is looking to raise a pretty impressive $2,000,000, of which most will probably be spent on getting a new Satellite of Love back in orbit.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 has been of the air now for 30 but the shows vast collection of episodes still hold up, even today. The Kicstarter looks to use the funds to create three new episodes, which means that each episode will be upwards of one-million a pop. That’s a tough pill to swallow, but MST3k fans have been desperate for the shows return, so anything is possible.
