Mortal Kombat X Trailer

We finally have the first trailer for Mortal Kombat 10, the second game in the highly successful reboot of the venerable fighting series. The trailer shows the two most popular (that’s debatable) fighters on the roster going at it in what looks to be the lost forest stage, or someplace similar.

This Mortal Kombat X (current title) trailer shows some pretty intense action that fans of the last entry will find familiar. With the trailer showing all CG work and no real gameplay, we can’t yet determine how much of this look will hold over to the game, but with the power of the new systems, it would be safe to say it will look really good.

Also, note the use of the Hip-Hop soundtrack used to back this trailer. It is a stark change from what we are used to with any of the games in the series. Is this a sign of a soundtrack release by actual artists? Or does this show a slightly new direction music wise for the series?

Only time will tell. More information on Mortal Komabt X should be forthcoming at E3 in a few days.
