Marvel Snap Down In US Over TikTok Connections

Marvel Snap is a very popular digital card game that has tons of fans. Those fans were surprised when the game went down in the United States in part due to the ban over TikTok in the United States.

Marvel Snap’s parent company, Nuverse, is owned by Bytedance, the company behind TikTok. And while TikTok is now back online while the new Trump administration figures out if it likes it or not this time around, Marvel Snap is still currently down at the time of writing.

“Unfortunately, Marvel Snap is temporarily unavailable in U.S. app stores and is unavailable to play in the US. This outage is a surprise to us and wasn’t planned,” – Second Dinner Marvel Snap Developer

What’s strange about the ban is that Bytedance actually divested from Nuverse back in 2023. Marvel Snap developer Second Dinner has told fans of the game in the UNited States that they can still play if they use a VPN set to Canada for the time being until things get figured out.

It is unclear when and if marvel Snap will return to service while the TikTok ban is in limbo for the next 90-days.
