I don’t think anyone was clamoring for a Shazam! movie, but if the role has to be filled, I can think of a lot worse actors than Dwayne Johnson to do it. In the below clip, originally posted on TotalFilm, Johnson rightly points out that he can’t just play any superhero, because the audience will bring a certain amount of baggage to any film he’s in. And he doesn’t outright say “Shazam,” but if you can think of another answer for clues like “he has the power of Superman” and “just say the word,” I’m all ears.

Shazam! is supposed to come out in 2016, so I imagine we’ll get a much bigger announcement at Comic Con.
