The Video Game Awards is a show that only serves to makes gamers look like idiots and to premier game trailers on television, so, you know, it would be a perfect show if this were 2006. Anyways, looking on YouTube we get a new trailer for the Komabt Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat X.
While I’m a fan of getting new characters, I’m conflicted with this new pack of fighters. Leather face is here continuing the guest character shtick, but he just really feels out of place as he’s just a crazy person with no powers of any kind. We also get Liu Kang’s drunk teacher, a character that nobody asked for, let alone knows about. Odds are many are going to think he’s a brand new fighter.
We also get a robot ninja in the form of Sektor/Cyrax because why include series staples in the original game. Not sure how this works as it looks like a robot that will be able to swap between each, so that could be interesting. Lastly we get the Alien, from, well, Alien. This one looks pretty neat as it’s taken the form of Baraka, but I’d still like normal Baraka in the game too.
