Leak of TCL’s 3.3-inch Palm-branded Phone

Palm

They’re bringing back Palm, now. But why?

TCL’s doing what they do best. They made Blackberry a thing again, and they aim to do the same for Palm. Or so the rumors go.

Codenamed “Pepito”, the new phone features a 3.3 inch screen that seems in keeping with the concept behind the original company’s name. To go with the small, 720p screen, the phone runs on a Snapdragon 435 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GBof storage, and a small, 800mmAh battery. Oh, and no headphone jack, because who needs those anymore, right?

It will supposedly ship with Android Oreo 8.1 installed; they don’t, after all, own webOS anymore. Back when TCL announced  the planned relaunch of the brand, they said they’d listen to consumer feedback. And that feedback apparently wanted a Pixi/Veer-like device. Who knows? It might work out; some people just want something small form-factor that can handle normal apps and phone calls, after all.
