The first trailer for Cars 3 managed to shock a lot of Pixar fans. It was a super dark affair that had us questioning just what on earth was going on. It was a dark trailer, and not just for an animated film, but for any sort of film.
Thankfully the second trailer for Cars 3 is here and it’s much lighter fare. The story seems to be playing on McQueen being the old-timer looking to prove that he still has is against a new, younger group of racers.
The trailer is a large departure from that first one and this could be a good or bad thing. Good for kids and parents as it looks like more of the traditional Cars formula, and bad for fans of taking risks in animated offerings.
Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 opens in theatres June 16 in 3D.
