Posting to his twitter account this evening (December 15th) Hideo Kojima stated that,

My employment contract with Konami has been terminated as of Dec 15th, so today marks a new start for me. I’m committed to be involved in creative activities for as long as I live.”

While we know Kojima would start his own studio or production house now that he was free from Konami, we know know Sony will be the ones forming a partnership with Kojima Productions. The studio announced that they,

…will begin focusing its efforts in developing products that will push the boundaries in innovation and ignite consumer interest worldwide.”

You can already see the fruits of they partnership with the new logo for Kojima Production (above). Sony also released a video announcing the partnership stating that the first Kojima Productions release will be Sony exclusive title, as well as a brand new IP. Check it out below:
