He wants to build brown bricks in Moinecrap.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Momoa is in talks to star in the prospective movie adaptation of Mojang’s Minecraft. That said, no deals have been inked up just yet. It’s still a sign of life for the film, which got shelved pre-production due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Though to be fair, the film’s spent considerable time in Development Hell; a Minecraft film was originally on the way in the 2010’s, but 2014 saw the original director and screenwriters depart the production due to creative differences with Mojang.
As for how things stand now, though, it’s looking considerably more likely to get off the ground. They’ve signed Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) to direct, and have producers Mary Parent and Roy Lee (Dune) set to produce. As for who Momoa would prospectively play in the film, though, is still unknown. And the synopsis Mojang has provided doesn’t give off any clues:
The malevolent Ender Dragon sets out on a path of destruction, prompting a young girl and her group of unlikely adventurers to set out to save the Overworld.
That all said, if the movie is going to happen, it’s going to happen fast. According to The Ankler, Warner’s lease on the film rights ends in 2023. Which means that they’re going to have get it in gear soon if they want to retain those rights.
