Jackass Gets A New Series On Paramount+

Jackass

Paramount plus many injuries.

Well, I guess you just cant keep a good Jackass down. Because Jackass is getting a new series on Paramount+, following in the wake of the massive success that was Jackass Forever.

Based off the success of Jackass Forever, we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+.

Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish

It’s pretty likely that all of the originals (probably sans Bam and anybody who’s dead) will return for this series. Other than the obvious, though, details are currently light.

It’s not all that surprising, though. Jackass Forever really paid off for Paramount, probably because it’s one of the most watchable things on their streaming platform aside from their evergreen legacy content, Sonic the Hedgehog, pre-Kurtzman Star Trek, Frasier, and IMHO, The Offer. Honestly, if you told me in the mid 2000’s that Sonic the Hedgehog would take the crown for best video game adaptation at any point, I would’ve laughed in your face. And I’m a Sonic Fan! But that’s aside from the point.

It also probably helped that it revels in itself, in a good way. There’s no preaching; it’s just a bunch of people getting together to have fun and probably get hurt. Or gross each other out. Sometimes both.
