Iron Fist Gets Canned By Netflix

Iron Fist

Not so Immortal anymore, eh?

Well, if you’re a fan of Netflix’s Marvel’s Iron Fist, I’ve got some bad news for you. Because Netflix has cancelled the series, according to Deadline, meaning no Season 3:

Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on.

Granted, the key words there are on Netflix. It’s entirely possible that Disney’s streaming service might be the long-term goal of this cancellation. Not to mention the fact that the Iron Fist characters might see some screentime on the remaining Netflix Marvel series. Either way, so long, Iron Fist. You’ll definitely be missed far, far more than The Inhumans.

Now I just have to wonder how the Iron Fist plot in Newspaper Spider-Man is going to wrap. It’ll probably involve Peter getting smacked in the head again. I’m pretty sure his next concussion nets him a free sandwich.
