Critically claimed TV series Game of Thrones is about to kickoff its seventh season, which will hit HBO on July 7. The first promo has been released and fans are getting on-board the hype-train after watching the three kings that, presumably, will be the protagonists of this new chapter in the series.
Unlike previous seasons that all consisted of ten episodes, this seventh season of Game of Thrones will consist of only seven episodes. But like the sixth, it will largely consist of original content currently not found in the original book saga. It will be adapting some material from the upcoming sixth and seventh novels The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.
Game of Thrones is based on the book series A Song of Ice and Fire by American author George R. R. Martin, who writes in the fantasy, horror, and science fiction genres. Currently, Martin is working on the upcoming books for his famous saga.
