During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con Wolverine himself let it be known that the next film in the Wolverine series will be titled “Old Man Logan” after the seminal comic book arc of the same name. In the story we a post apocalyptic world that sees Logan living on a small farm with his family. Many years prior to the fall of the country he committed a terrible sin that saw him give up his hero ways and refuse to ever pop his claws again.
The story goes on to give us insight into his life and can be seen as a tale of personal redemption for a fallen hero. Just how this will work with the book having such a crazy story (symbiote infused T-Rex!) is anyone’s guess as the story features heavy use of Marvel owned properties.Old Man Logan will see Jackman reprise his role one final time, and it’s fitting that this is the story we are getting.
