The Hollywood Reporter reports that horror icon Wes Craven has passed away at the age of 76 after a battle with brain cancer at his home in Los Angeles.
The legendary film director is best know for creating the “Nightmare on Elm Street” series as well as the “Scream” series of films. Each of those series feature their own iconic killers that continue to scare new generations of movie goers.
His legacy in fright goes all the way back to the early 1970’s with such classic films as “The Hills Have Eyes” and “The Last House on the Left,” both of which have been remade for modern audiences.
