Over on Twitch NetherRealm showed off the very first gameplay trailer for the upcoming Injustice 2. Not only did we see a bit of the game, but we saw some new faces for this installment.
Newcomers Gorilla Grodd, the Red Lantern Atrocitus, and Supergirl all get their moment in the spotlight here. Old favorites return as well as the fun environmental hazards that the last game introduced.
Director Ed Boon spoke on how the team choose the roster for this game stating that,
“[We pick] the characters teams are excited about, and we’re always listening to social media on characters they want to see.”
One thing that isn’t yet clear is the use of the armor up ability that the teaser trailer hinted at. Maybe this will become more clear during next weeks E3 show.
