You’re too slow!
Look, I like tinyBuild. But Hello Neighbor is just the type of game I really don’t have much feeling for. Not to say they haven’t done a great job on it; it’s simply not my type of thing. It seems to be made more for the “scream like a ninnyhammer on YouTube” crowd.
But does the addition, via mod, of Sonic the Hedgehog change that? No, it doesn’t, but for entirely different reasons.
Hello Neighbor launched recently, and of course, that means mods. And no mod section is apparently complete without Sanic. And as is usual for Sonic mods, he snaps the game in half. Only this time, you’re not the one doing the snapping, since you’re not Sonic; he’s your creepy neighbor.
Neighbor Sonic is faster than you. The game’s already clever AI becomes a nightmare to deal with, since he can practically teleport to your location. Hell, he’ll break into your house to mess you. The makers of the mod were probably thinking “How would Sonic Team do Hello Neighbor?”, and the end result was completely breaking the game. Which is honestly true to life. Congrats, guys, you did it.
