Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Jurassic Life, a mod that brings Jurassic Park to Half-Life 2, is finally totally playable. Start to finish. Compys to raptors. The team behind it also put out the following gameplay trailer earlier in the week.
But the mod isn’t just content to retell the story from the film or book. Rather, it’s an original story set during the events of the movie. Per their description:
In Jurassic Life, you play game warden Robert Muldoon who was hired to keep order in the quite extraordinary Jurassic Park, located on Isla Nublar. Our story is not strictly based on the movies or novels but rather our own tale with inspiration gathered from the world of Jurassic Park.
That said, the mod’s not quite ready for release just yet.
We have accomplished the impossible.. Jurassic Life finally can be played beginning to end. The Jurassic Life story campaign finally can be played out from the very first cut-scene to the final credits, it’s been a long journey but we’ve made it.. for the most part. Before everyone takes out their champagne and party hats, we aren’t at the end just yet. There is much to be refined and polished and still worked upon before final release.
Jurassic Life comes out later this year. That enough? (Malcolm laughs).
