Google Drive Users Can Get 2GB of Free Space Just For Checking Their Security Settings

Google Drive

Google Drive is a lovely full featured office suite that keeps all your documents, photos, etc, stored safely on the cloud. Being the cheapskate that I am I moved away from Microsoft Office once I found that Google Docs (a part of the Google Drive umbrella) served all my needs. Shortly after I began saving lots of other files, mostly photos, to Drive and haven’t looked back.

Well, Google is doing all Drive users a solid by giving them an extra 2GB of storage space or the low, low, price of $0. All that you have to do to earn the free storage is sign into you Drive account and run Google’s Security Checkup (here). This checkup feature will guide you through a list of things you should  be doing, or should have activated to have better control over your account.

Google is running this promotion in honor of “Safer Internet Day” and it is a limited time event that will end on February 17th, so grab that 2 GB while you can.
