Lost Golden Age Heroines Looks Back At The First Female Heroines In Comics

Golden Age Heroines

What’s the point of having a website if you can’t use it from time to time to push a personal project, or the project of a writer? Well, that’s the case here as I have just finished working on a comic history book that is now available for sale. If you have noticed over the past few weeks, the comic review section here at GAMbIT has been a little light on content, and know you know why. I have been hard at work getting the book finalized and ready for sale. Golden Age Heroines is a 68 page, large format comic history book that dives into the lost stories regarding the first female superheroes from the Golden Age of comics. These heroines are the backbone of many of the mainstream heroines we all know and love today and deserve to be remembered for laying the groundwork.

The book gives insight and background on a number of characters, some of which haven’t seen print in nearly 70 years. Not only will you find history, but there are also numerous painstakingly re-mastered pages of art from the original books, some of which haven’t been seen in some 70 years. This is more than a simple biography on characters, it’s a beautiful art book that celebrates female heroines and the people that created them. This is one book serious comic history fans won’t want to miss, although I am pretty biased as I wrote the darn thing.
