M. Night Shyamalan is a pretty hit or miss kind of director. His twist style endings that made him special, quickly turned into the but of many a joke across the internet and television.
And while many will point to The Sixth Sense being his best film, I am in the camp that thinks Unbreakable showed the director at the top of his game.
This is why I’m excited that we are getting a followup to that film (and to Split) in Glass. You will remember that Mr. Glass was the person that helped Dunn find his true calling, only to become his archenemy.
Both Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson are returning for the project. I should also note that James McAvoy and Casey Cooke are also back for this one. Sure, they weren’t in the original, but if you want to know what they are here then you really need to see Split.
The initial plot description for Glass states that:
Following the conclusion of SPLIT, GLASS finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
