Even as a teenager, he had that voice. Wow.
It’s not exactly a secret that Seth MacFarlane’s a fan of Star Trek. Not only was he in a small role as Ensign Rivers on Star Trek: Enterprise, his shows have done countless parodies of Trek (some more loving on the surface than others). Hell, The Orville is practically a love letter to the way Star Trek was before almost everything got a reboot.
So it’s really no surprise that, in the fan tradition, Seth was in his own Star Trek fan film as a teenager. He and his friends emulate the bridge crew of Enterprise, with MacFarlane as Kirk. Granted, this clearly isn’t the full film (after all, who would leave the Enterprise stranded in the void?). But it does have one thing down pat; their lines (especially Spock’s) are structured exactly how they were on the show. Which makes for an admirable attention to detail that most of us probably wish we’d had on our teenage projects.
