Frog-Based Omnidirectional Dashing Platformer ‘FROGUE’ Drops This Week

In FROGUE, the player controls the frog warrior Kene Legstrong and has the mission of stopping a curse that happens every 100 years with lots of action, strategy and even time manipulation.

The game, developed by Brazilian independent studio Wired Dreams and released for PC in February 2024, will arrive on June 27, 2024 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch from publisher QUByte Interactive.

Frogue is the fifth game from developer Thiago Oliveira, the independent solo developer behind Wired Dreams Studio. It is the fourth game published for consoles in partnership with QUByte Interactive.

The cool thing about FROGUE is that each player can play it the way they want, using the tricks of throwing their weapons at their opponents, freezing time and navigating the platforms of each stage with agility and precision in every move.

The fact that the character has the ability to stick to walls and use some special powers gives the game a three-dimensional feel and opens up many possibilities for thinking up different solutions to each challenge in a strategic way.

The turn-based combat gameplay and many other elements will challenge the most demanding players who like their games to be a little more difficult, and all with a colorful, pixelated look reminiscent of the great console classics of yesteryear.
