Remember Minority Report? Sure you do. It was a deft sci-fi thriller from Steven Spielberg that managed to combine an engaging mystery with a timely critique of privacy in the Information Age. Anyway, Fox has decided that twelve years is long enough to wait for a follow-up, and is moving ahead with a made-for-TV sequel.
From The Hollywood Reporter:
The Minority Report follow-up takes place 10 years after the end of Precrime in D.C., when one of the three Precogs struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions of the future. He meets a detective haunted by her past who just may help him find a purpose to his gift.
There were three Precogs, and one of them was female, so do you think the one in question will be Dash or Arthur? I’m kidding, it’ll be neither, because the average Fox viewer has no fucking clue who Dashiell Hammett or Arthur Conan Doyle was. I like the idea of a female lead, but consider us very skeptical about this.
