The first trailer for the Fantastic Four reboot, or as Fox is calling it in the trailer “Fant-Four-stic.” Also, it’s from the studio that brought us X-Men Days of Future Past (it does have that exact same ominous feel), but that really means nothing. It’s like saying Weekend At Bernie’s is from the same studio that brought you Gone With The Wind (I have no idea if that is true).
Aside from showing not much of anything, the trailer does give us a look at each member of this teenage team. I assume they are going along the lines of the Ultimate Universe, but as most people know the Fantastic Four as Marvel’s first family, and not kids, it’s a strange sight. Also, The Thing looks like a rock golem from The Never Ending Story.
Check out the trailer for yourself below and let us know what you think.
FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
