If you want a little racing fun on the go, the new Forza spin-off is here to fill that need. Forza Street has launched on iOS and Android and it’s free to snag, but be assured that it’s going to want your money with all those in-app purchases.
Forza Street is a 1-vs-1 racing game and it’s pretty simple. Look, if you are coming into this thing expecting a full Forza experience you need to have your head examined. Sure, the game look utterly fantastic but you need more than pretty looks.
There isn’t any real driving to be had in the game. You simply hold done a button and tap the screen when asked. Things just sort of happen without you doing much of anything. The real hook in the the car collection aspect of the game. This is a gatcha game for fancy cars.
This is even more apparent because if you play the game before June 5 you’ll snag yourself a free 2017 Fords GT to add to your collection. You’ll also snag some in-game money that you can use to purchase new cars or upgrades.
Gatcha games make a lot of money for very little effort so I don’t blame Microsoft for the move. Just be careful and don’t pull a DSP and lose your life savings, home, and self-respect collection virtual shit.
