The Tomb Raider series has seen a return to form when it rebooted the franchise at the end of the last console generation. Now two games in, Lara Croft is stronger than ever, and with that success comes word of rebooting the series on the silver screen.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley is in talks to strap on her climbing gear and take a crack and the adventurer. There is no script or release date on the project at this point in time.
This planned film reboot will be hemmed by director Roar Ulthaug who we are pretty sure is a character in the Warcraft series, but we can’t back that statement up in any way. We do know that it would be the directors first Hollywood feature.
After the first two films in the series GK Films bought up the rights to the franchise and has been looking to bring a new Croft to the screen since 2013. Tomb Raider Cradle of Life was released to theaters all the way back in 2003.
