For a universe full of supermen, women and all manner of magical and mystic beings, it seems that nothing gets done without Batman’s help. Look, Bats is by far my favorite hero of all time, but even for a super-fan like me, he is starting to feel a bit overexposed.
But I get why he’s front in center in justice League Dark. The team members are essentially unknowns to average comic fans, and calling it Justice League will bring in people expecting some manner of connection.
The studio has explained that Batman will serve as a “surrogate” for the audience to allow them to better understand what’s going on. I get that, but it still feels like DC is treating us a bit like children that simply aren’t smart enough to get it.
That being said, the first trailer for the animated Justice League Dark looks pretty slick. We are introduce to the cast and get our first good look at what the team will be facing.
