I can’t think of any movie I’m more excited for than HBO’s Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief. And yes, I’m aware that Mad Max and Star Wars come out this year. I’ve read the source material (by Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright), and if the documentary – by Alex Gibney, who won an Oscar for Taxi to the Dark Side – is anything like it, this is going to be a brutal takedown of an insidious cult. March 29 can’t come soon enough.
