CBS Studios has debuted a teaser trailer for their upcoming Star Trek series. Along with that we also get the new logo that will help define the series. While it doesn’t show anything about the series itself there are a number of clues we can pull from the teaser. It looks as if the show will indeed have an anthology style format with different crews aboard different starships and perhaps even at different times.
This is all still speculation but there is a lot of room to explore without having the Enterprise at the core of the show. Heck, just look at Deep Space Nine for how well that can work. Star Trek premieres in January, 2017 via the CBS streaming platform.
The trailer is all CGI work and to be honest, it looks liker something pulled straight from the Star Trek Online MMORPG game. You can check it out below:
