The first trailer for Jurassic World debuted this Tuesday, and from from looks of things this park has been up and running for a long time. Society seems to regard this new Jurassic World in the way we view Disney Land today. With so much research and study being done in the 22 years since the time of the last film the scientists have begun toying with life once again.
The story, from what we can see of the trailer, shows man genetically creating a sort of hybrid dinosaur in the lab. Well, as luck would have it life indeed finds a way… to be terrifying that is! This new dinosaur of course gets loose and the lovable Chris Pratt is sent in to bring it down.
As this is the first new Jurassic Park film since 2001 I am beyond excited to once again revisit the island. The trailer for the film on the other hand, doesn’t quite work for me. Maybe it’s the future setting, or the hybrid dinosaur (early drafts from years ago pointed to a dinosaur/human hybrid, or maybe it’s just the odd music choice throughout the trailer. I can’t really say, but I do know i’ll be there opening day when this summer rolls around.
