Final Fantasy VII Gets Streamlined With New Cheats On PS4

Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII is a landmark title and helped cement the PlayStation as the console of choice back when Nintendo ruled the world. The game was a great example of new technology mixed with tried and true RPG elements. Sony is remaking the the game for the PS4 and fans could not be more happy about it, but the company has also released the original FFVII to the PS4 with some neat additions –cheats!

I am a fan of classic RPGs, but I know that the turn-based nature of the genre was a real downer, so having a built-in cheat to speed up everything by three is a godsend. Even better, and demanded by fans since the original release, you can now completely turn off all the random encounters!

But Sony isn’t done making amazing changes, as the best new cheat is the ability to heal everyone in your party and give them infinite limit breaks at the push of a button. Guys, this is exactly how Final Fantasy VII was meant to be played!

The cheats are really easy to use:

L3 – speeds up everything by three

L3+R3 – turns off random encounters

R3 – automatically heals everyone and gives them infinite limit breaks

Okay, I’m just poking fun here as these cheats do serve a purpose in some of the games more annoying areas. Plus, I guess gamers today just can’t handle the slow pace of FFVII and all the grind that was required. These cheats streamline the game and put it more in line with the RPGs of today. This new system allows old school fans to play as they normally would, but lets newer fans jump in and still have fun without the stress of working for the win.
