Just a little after 9:30 PST (or at least that’s when we logged in to post) the world’s second largest website has gone down. I repeat, Facebook has gone down. There is panic in the streets. End of days revelations coming to pass. Game over, man. Game over!
This (not a serious as I may have led you to believe above) outage impacts users across all Facebook platforms including desktop, android, iOS, and pretty much whatever you use to access Facebook
This is the first major outage that comes without an explanation or prior warning of some kind. Perhaps a mouse got in the gutty-works and nibbled on some cables. That’s still a thing that happens, right?
The error page states that Facebook is “working on it” and would “get it fixed as soon as we can”, but that is the standard error message every platform sends out automatically.
I wager if this outage lasts longer than an hour the world will quickly resort to Mad Max status where the Thunderdome is replaced by Myspace. Check me out with the vintage interwebs reference!
